SAIL Rourkela Grants Financial Aid to 51 Underprivileged Students

ROURKELA – Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has extended financial assistance to 51 meritorious students from underprivileged backgrounds for the 2025–26 academic year through its Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).
The initiative targets high-achieving students from the Sundargarh district, Model Steel Villages, and RSP Resettlement Colonies who are pursuing professional degrees. Of the total beneficiaries, 25 are new enrollees, while 26 continue to receive support to complete their ongoing studies.
This program is part of SAIL’s broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy to promote inclusive growth and socio-economic development in the communities surrounding its operational units. By easing the financial burden of higher education, the company aims to empower local youth and foster long-term career opportunities.
