REC Limited Pledges ₹11.56 Crore to Bolster Eye Care Services in Saharsa, Bihar

NEW DELHI – REC Limited has pledged ₹11.56 crore under its CSR initiative to upgrade Sankara Eye Hospital in Saharsa, Bihar. The funds will be utilized to procure essential clinical and non-clinical equipment to enhance specialized eye care in the region.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed on March 9, 2026, between Shri Pradeep Fellows (Executive Director, REC) and Wg Cdr V. Shankar (Retd) (Executive Director, Sankara Eye Hospital).

Key Highlights:

  • Objective: Improving healthcare infrastructure and accessibility in underserved areas.
  • Beneficiaries: Economically weaker sections in Saharsa and surrounding districts.
