Bank of Baroda Pledges ₹2 Crore for Veterans’ Children

NEW DELHI — In a significant CSR initiative, Bank of Baroda has contributed ₹2,00,16,000 to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF) to support the families of India’s bravehearts. The donation was formally handed over on March 18, 2026, to the Kendriya Sainik Board, under the Ministry of Defence.

Educational Support for 800+ Children

The funds are specifically earmarked to provide educational scholarships for 834 children, focusing on:

  • Children of ex-servicemen and martyrs.
  • Children of widows of armed forces personnel.

The Handover

The ceremonial cheque was presented by Ms. Beena Vaheed, Executive Director of Bank of Baroda, to Shri D. S. Basera (VSM), Secretary of the Kendriya Sainik Board. Also present was Shri M. V. S. Sudhakar, General Manager & Zonal Head (New Delhi).

Through this contribution, the bank reaffirmed its commitment to the long-term empowerment of military families, ensuring that the next generation has the resources to build a secure and bright future.
