Dhananjay Kumar Singh Appointed ADRM

PRAYAGRAJ – Dhananjay Kumar Singh, a senior officer of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), has been appointed as the Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) of the Prayagraj (PRYG) Division. The official order, issued by the Ministry of Railways on February 3, 2026, facilitates an in-situ transition within the North Central Railway (NCR) zone.
A Smooth Command Transition
Singh is no stranger to the Prayagraj Division. His elevation to the ADRM post is seen as a strategic move to maintain continuity in the mechanical and operational management of one of India’s busiest railway divisions.
Cadre Expertise: As an IRSME officer, Singh specializes in the technical maintenance of rolling stock (locomotives and coaches) and the efficiency of train operations.
Local Knowledge: He previously served as the Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer (O&F) for the same division, where he oversaw power (locomotive) operations and freight management.
The Leadership Team: He will now work directly under Rajneesh Aggarwal, the current Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Prayagraj.
The Prayagraj Priority
The Prayagraj Division serves as a critical junction for the North Central Railway, managing high-density traffic on the Delhi-Howrah route. Singh’s appointment comes at a time when the division is prioritizing the implementation of the Kavach (Automatic Train Protection) system and upgrading infrastructure for the upcoming 2027 Mahakumbh preparations.
