DOHA – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed that Russian satellite intelligence was the "100%" catalyst for a major Iranian attack on the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.

According to Zelensky, Russian satellites imaged the base on March 20, 23, and 25—a pattern he described as a clear "strike simulation" before the actual assault on March 26, 2026.

Impact of the Attack:

  • Casualties: At least 12 U.S. service members were injured; two are in serious condition.
  • Hardware Loss: The strike heavily damaged a high-value USAF E-3 Sentry (AWACS) and several refueling aircraft.
  • Evidence: Zelensky cited "irrefutable" briefings from Ukrainian intelligence, alleging that Moscow is also using this cooperation to "blackmail" Washington into cutting off support for Kyiv.

Zelensky condemned the recent easing of Russian oil sanctions, arguing that the resulting revenue is directly funding the intelligence used to target U.S. and allied forces in the Gulf.
