NTPC Restructures Coal Assets: Dulanga and Talaipalli Transferred to NML

MUMBAI – In a move to consolidate its burgeoning fuel business, NTPC Limited has officially transferred the Dulanga Coal Mine (Odisha) and the Talaipalli Coal Mine (Chhattisgarh) to its wholly-owned subsidiary, NTPC Mining Limited (NML), effective February 1, 2026.

The transfer marks a critical milestone in NTPC's "Mining Focus" strategy, which seeks to hive off its coal extraction business into a specialized entity to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
