NTPC Announces Superannuation of Six Executive Directors in Year-End Leadership Transition
NEW DELHI – India’s leading power utility and Maharatna PSU, NTPC Limited, has announced a significant shift in its senior leadership cadre. As of the close of business hours on December 31, 2025, six high-ranking Executive Directors have officially retired from the company upon attaining superannuation.
The departure of these veteran officials marks the conclusion of an era of leadership that guided the energy major through critical phases of capacity expansion and the ongoing transition toward renewable energy.
The following officers have ceased to be part of NTPC’s senior management:
Shri Abhay Kumar Srivastava
Shri Asesh Kumar Chattopadhyay
Shri Tapan Kumar Bandyopadhyay
Shri Vijay Krishna Pandey
Shri Goutam Deb
Shri Subhasis Bose
The mass superannuation of these key executives is expected to pave the way for a new wave of leadership within the organization. NTPC has long been recognized for its robust internal succession planning, ensuring that such large-scale transitions do not disrupt its vast operations across coal, gas, and green energy segments.
As the "Power to the Nation" provider enters 2026, the company is poised to fill these strategic roles with internal promotions and lateral movements to maintain its momentum as India’s largest power producer.
