HOCL Announces Leadership Transition: Shri B Balachandran Appointed Head of Marketing

MUMBAI – Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited (HOCL), a premier Government of India enterprise in the chemical manufacturing sector, has announced a key change in its senior leadership. Shri B Balachandran, Chief General Manager, has been appointed as the new Head of the Marketing Department, effective January 1, 2026.

The appointment follows the superannuation of Shri P H Zubair, the outgoing Chief General Manager and Marketing Head, who officially retired at the close of business hours on December 31, 2025.

In a regulatory filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company confirmed that the transition was conducted in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and the latest SEBI Master Circular.

HOCL management formally acknowledged the significant contributions made by Shri Zubair during his tenure, noting his role in strengthening the company's market presence. The company stated that the appointment of Shri Balachandran is intended to ensure seamless continuity in HOCL’s marketing operations and the execution of its long-term strategic initiatives.

As a critical player in India's chemical industry, HOCL continues to focus on maintaining operational stability through this planned leadership succession as it enters the new calendar year.
